CHAN 2024: Congo coach wary of ‘wounded lion’ Home Eagles

Congo head coach, Barthelemy Ngatsono says his players must be at their best in order to get a positive result against Nigeria.
Ngatsono’s side are still searching for their first win at the 2024 African Nations Championship.
The Congolese currently occupy second position in Group D with two points from two games.
They will need to beat Nigeria to be sure of a place in the quarter-finals.
The Home Eagles will be playing for pride in the game having failed to record a win in their opening two fixtures.
Ngatsono claimed they must be at their best their wounded opponent.
“We respect Nigeria, but they are like a wounded lion. They will play with pride, so we must be sharper and stay focused,” the gaffer was quoted by CAFonline.
Tuesday’s encounter will hold at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium, Dar es Salaam.
