Troops recover rifles, magazines in Borno operation

Troops of Operation Hadin Kai, in collaboration with the Civilian Joint Task Force, CJTF, have recovered three AK-47 rifles and five magazines during an intelligence-led operation along the Mafa border corridor in Borno State.
The development was disclosed in a post on Sunday by security analyst Zagazola Makama via his X handle.
According to the report, the operation was conducted as a follow-up to an earlier encounter with terrorists on August 7, which led to the neutralisation of several fighters.
The latest sweep resulted in the recovery of weapons believed to be part of the insurgents’ cache of arms and ammunition.
Military authorities commended the troops for the feat and urged them to sustain intelligence-driven operations across the North-East theatre.
