Ballon d’Or 2025: Hakimi snubs Dembele, Yamal, names player to win award

Paris Saint-Germain defender, Achraf Hakimi, has insisted he deserves to win the 2025 Ballon d’Or award.
Hakimi has claimed that his achievements cannot be overlooked in favour of attacking players.
The 26-year-old became the first defender in Champions League history to score in the quarter-finals, semi-finals and final of the competition in a single campaign.
Hakimi finished the campaign with 11 goals and 16 assists in all competitions is also a new European record for a defender, breaking Dani Alves’ record.
Speaking to Canal+, Hakimi said: “When people put me in the Ballon d’Or debate, it’s a dream I had never thought of.
“If I have the possibility of winning it, I think I deserve it too.”
Hakimi also impressed as PSG won the Ligue 1, Coupe de France, Champions League, and Trophée des Champions titles.
