Police confirm death of Chinese supervisor at Kogi factory

The police in Kogi State have confirmed the death of a 47-year-old Chinese national who worked as a supervisor at BN Ceramics in Ajaokuta.
The man, identified as Mr. Luo Zhi Mao, reportedly collapsed while working in the Press Department of the factory on Saturday, August 2, around 6:30 p.m.
“He was quickly taken to Covenant Hospital in Ajaokuta and then referred to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) in Lokoja.
“But because doctors and nurses at FMC were on strike, he was moved to Shifaah Hospital, also in Lokoja,” Zagazola Makama, a security analyst revealed on X on Thursday.
Sadly, he died three days later, on Tuesday, around 9:30 p.m. at Shifaah Hospital.
His body has been taken to the Kogi State Specialist Hospital Mortuary for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
Police say no foul play is suspected at this time, but investigations are still ongoing.
