CHAN: Eric Chelle identifies three areas Nigeria must improve after losing three points

Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle has identified three major areas his team must improve after losing three points against Senegal at the 2024 African Nations Championship, CHAN.

Chelle watched as Senegal defeated his home-based Super Eagles 1-0 in their CHAN Group D opener on Tuesday evening.

DAILY POST reports that a second half goal from Christian Gomis gave Senegal the victory against Chelle’s side at the Amani Stadium in Tanzania.

Speaking at his post-match press conference, Chelle said his team need to improve their ‘state of mind, be more competitive, and more aggressive’ in their next matches.

“So we need to improve our state of mind. We need to be more competitive, and more aggressive,” Chelle said.

“We will see,” the Malian tactician added.

Nigeria will face Sudan next in their second CHAN fixture next week Tuesday.

After the Sudan game, they will then tackle Congo in their final group game fixture.
