Daniel Ogunmodede has declared the home-based Super Eagles ready for their opening fixture against Senegal at the 2024 African Nations Championship, CHAN.
Nigeria will commence their campaign at the CHAN 2024 finals against the defending champions at the Amman Stadium, Zanzibar next week Tuesday.
The Home Eagles played two friendlies against Zanzibar this week as part of their preparations for the competition.
Ogunmodede reckoned Souleymane Diallo’s side will be a tough nut to crack but is adamant they can beat their fellow West Africans.
“Of course, Senegal are defending champions, so they’ll be eager to defend their title. But we’re ready to give them a very good fight,” Ogunmodede told ESPN.
The Home Eagles are making a return to the competition after failing to qualify for the last two editions.
They finished second in their last appearance at the 2018 edition hosted by Morocco.
