2027: Aiyedatiwa orders APC support groups to collapse structure under Ondo party’s leadership

Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has warned members of the All Progressives Congress, APC, against moves capable of creating division in the state ahead of the 2027 general elections.
According to the governor, all groups working to ensure the reelection of President Bola Tinubu must be collapsed under the leadership of APC in the state.
Aiyedatiwa, who made the declaration while meeting with the leaders caucus of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state emphasised that the party is supreme irrespective of groups.
The governor, who stressed that various support groups have been springing up in the state ahead of the general elections, called for unity within the party.
While speaking during the meeting with leaders caucus of APC in the state which was held at the Banquet Hall of the Government House in Akure, the state capital, Aiyedatiwa maintained that with no pending governorship election in the state in 2027, all efforts must be geared towards Tinubu’s reelection.
“Our strength lies in our unity, and all of us as leaders of the APC in the state must come together to build on the foundation already laid.
“We are heading towards general elections, it is expected that various support groups will spring up. However, all groups must be under the leadership of the Central Party structure, which has the State Working Committee and the State Caucus as core components. We don’t have any pending governorship elections here in Ondo State.”
