Man caught trying to steal again from same Abuja shop where he earlier stole ₦800k laptop

A Nigerian man has been caught after attempting to steal from the same Abuja shop where he had previously stolen a laptop worth ₦800,000.
He was also linked to multiple thefts in over five shops across Abuja.
The incident was shared on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) by user @ChuksEricE, who posted a video showing the suspect being confronted and interrogated by the store owner.
In the video, the shop owner alert and physically holding the suspect to prevent his escape questioned him about the missing laptop. The man confessed to stealing it during a previous visit.
He was also asked about a series of recent laptop thefts captured on CCTV in various Abuja stores.
The suspect admitted he was responsible for those as well.
The video sparked widespread reactions, with many social media users flooding the comment section to express shock, frustration, and calls for tighter security in local businesses.
