Abakaliki FC have retained 27 players for the 2025-26 Nigeria National League, NNL, season.
The retained players are Elochukwu Paschal, Akanbi Raimi, Timothy Cyril, Ezema Ifeanyi, Ogbu Chisom, Aluo Chisom, Nwafor Ejike, Uche Amarachi, Ugwu Emeka, Oma Joseph, Kalu Collins, Promise Uche and Chukwu Onoche.
Others are Eni Daniel, Wisdom Ifeanyi, Aloo Friday, Emeka Soronnadi, Nwafor Chigozie, Onyia Henry, Igwe Pius, Okoro Chukwudi, Aleke Jude, Linus Christopher, Abdul Aminu, David Nnachi and Rapheal Blaise.
The players are expected to resume training on Thursday, 7th August to start preparation for the upcoming season.
DAILY POST reports, that Abakaliki FC have been admitted back to the NNL having acquired the promotion slot of Hammola FC.
Abakaliki FC were relegated to the third tier league at the end of the 2024-25 NNL season.
