LaLiga: Real Madrid force new shirt number on Mbappe

Real Madrid have demanded that Kylian Mbappé take the No. 10 shirt at the club, according to L’Équipe.
The number became available after Luka Modrić left the La Liga giants this summer.
Modrić has signed for AC Milan as a free agent.
Initial reports claimed that the No. 10 shirt was up for grabs between Mbappé and Arda Güler, who impressed for Madrid at the Club World Cup.
But it is now understood that Mbappé was not particularly keen on giving up the No. 9 shirt he took upon arriving from Paris Saint-Germain.
However, Madrid’s hierarchy have decided that the Frenchman will take the No. 10 shirt ahead of next season.
Mbappé netted 44 goals across all competitions in his debut season, winning both the Pichichi trophy and the European Golden Boot.
