RCCG pastor steals $8K, starts new life in US – Mummy G.O.

A surprising disclosure has surfaced from the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), as Pastor Folu Adeboye, wife of the General Overseer, Pastor E.A. Adeboye, reveals that one of the church’s pastors absconded with $8,000 designated for missionary work, abandoning his wife and went on to remarry in the United States.
Pastor Folu shared the account during a men’s programme organised by the church, a video of which has since gone viral.
She explained that the pastor, originally from Ekiti State, had been assigned to Cape Town, South Africa.
During one of her missionary visits to the city, she was scheduled to preach at his RCCG parish. To her surprise, the service was being held in a restaurant.
During her ministration, Pastor Folu recounted that a woman suddenly walked in and began removing chairs, abruptly ending the service, an indication that the church was merely renting the space.
Moved by the situation, a donation of $8,000 was made to help the parish begin the process of acquiring a permanent place of worship.
According to Pastor Folu Adeboye, the pastor suggested using the $8,000 donation to purchase a fairly used vehicle, which would be leased to a tourism company in South Africa.
He claimed that the proceeds from the venture would eventually be used to acquire a permanent site for the church. Pastor E.A. Adeboye, finding the plan reasonable, approved the release of the funds.
However, the pastor had a different agenda. Rather than following through with the plan, he vanished, abandoning his wife in South Africa, relocating to the United States, and eventually marrying another woman.
