A house agent in Warri has been exposed after allegedly collecting ₦550,000 for a store and an additional ₦100,000 agent fee from a client without delivering the store or remitting the money to the landlord.
This was revealed in a video shared on TikTok by user @samuel.faith.sull, which shows the agent being confronted and disciplined for his actions.
According to the video, the client paid a total of ₦650,000 to the agent, who claimed he had been authorized by the landlord to rent out the store. He promised to hand over the space once it became available.
However, when the store was eventually vacated, the landlord gave it to someone else, claiming he had no connection with the agent and had not received any payment.
The matter escalated, and the agent was identified and forced to confess.
In the video, he admitted to using the woman’s money for personal financial issues, despite having no legitimate dealings with the landlord.
A voice in the video questioned him, saying:
“She gave you money, you said the store would be available, that the landlord put you in charge.”
“But when it became available, the landlord said he never gave you the store and didn’t know you. Now you say you’ve used the money for personal issues ₦550,000 plus ₦100,000 agent fee.”
The video has since gone viral, with many social media users taking to the comment section to share their outrage and demand justice for the victim.
