According to Verydarkman, he met Jude Okoye at an event and discussed the controversy surrounding Cynthia Morgan’s royalties and catalogue.
Social media activist Martins Vincent Otse aka Verydarkman has stated that he felt foolish dragging singer Cynthia Morgan’s ex-label boss, Jude Okoye.
He reached the conclusion after meeting Jude Okoye at an event and discussed the controversy surrounding Cynthia Morgan’s royalties and catalogue.
The social media activist revealed that Jude Okoye showed him a 2016 video where Cynthia Morgan herself unveiled her new stage name, “Madrina”, which contradicts Cynthia’s claims that Jude restricted her from using the stage name.
Verydarkman also claimed that Jude Okoye presented him with financial records showing that Cynthia Morgan’s royalties amounted to only $3,860 since her breakout year.
He recounted his conversation with Jude Okoye, who maintained that the agreement between him and Cynthia Morgan was drafted by the singer and her manager, and that he merely signed it.
After reviewing the evidence, Verydarkman admitted to feeling misled and foolish for confronting Jude Okoye over the issue. He stated that Cynthia Morgan should publicly apologise to Jude Okoye for damaging his reputation on social media.
“I ran into Jude Okoye at an event and I approached him. I was like, ‘Bros, this matter with Cynthia Morgan, how do we go take settle am? She is going through a lot. She said she is not getting her royalties and you are taking advantage of her. You also collected the rights to her name because no one knows her as Madrina.’
“Jude Okoye told me that Madrina unveiled her new name by herself. He told me that everything that he made from Cynthia Morgan was $3,860 so far. I asked Jude about all the money that Cynthia Morgan accused him of owing her aside from the royalties. Jude Okoye said that I should take his records to the best auditor, let them audit. If there is anything missing, I should call him out on social media,” Verydarkman said.
