Transfer: Real Madrid grants Alonso’s request

Real Madrid have granted their manager, Xabi Alonso’s request amid the summer transfer window.
According to Marca, Álvaro Carreras won’t be Real Madrid’s last signing for this summer.
The report added that Alonso has requested more signings and the Los Blancos agrees.
This comes after Real Madrid’s exit at the Club World Cup at the hands of Paris Saint-Germain.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid want to announce the signing of Carreras after the 2025 Club World Cup ends on Sunday.
Both Real Madrid and Benfica are closing in on the agreement for Carreras.
The 22-year-old defender first joined Real Madrid when he was 14 years old from Deportivo La Coruna.
Carreras, however, left Santiago Bernabeu to join Manchester United in 2020 but he never made a senior appearance for the Premier League club.
