Newcastle complete £55m move for Nottingham Forest star Anthony Elanga as Eddie Howe gets his first signing of the summer

Newcastle have completed the signing of Nottingham Forest forward Anthony Elanga.

The 23-year-old has joined for £55million and is Eddie Howe’s first addition of the summer.

The Swedish international will boost Newcastle’s attacking ranks as they return to the Champions League next season.

Elanga scored six times and claimed 11 assists for Nuno Espirito Santo’s Nottingham Forest side last season.

The winger joined Forest for £15m in 2023 and has scored 11 times in 82 appearances.

Manchester United, Elanga’s former club, are also owed an estimated 15 per cent of the profit from any sale.
