Soldier beats phone repairer to death in Adamawa over girlfriend’s phone repair delay

A Nigerian soldier has been accused of beating a phone repairer to death in Mayo-Belwa, Adamawa State, over a delayed repair of his girlfriend’s mobile phone.
According to Sahara Reporters, the soldier, identified as Lance Corporal Ahmada A., allegedly attacked the technician, Alkasum Ibrahim, on Wednesday after his girlfriend complained that her phone had not been fixed on time.
Witnesses said the woman had taken her phone to Alkasum’s shop earlier, but the repair was delayed due to undisclosed reasons. Upset by the delay, she reportedly contacted her boyfriend.
Shortly after, the soldier stormed the shop and violently assaulted the young technician.
