Groom cancels marriage, demands ₦300k refund from vendor for wedding service

A Nigerian groom stormed a vendor’s store to demand a refund after paying over ₦300,000 for a service he no longer needed, following the cancellation of his wedding.

This was revealed in a post shared on popular social media platform X (formerly Twitter) by user @ChuksEricE, who also shared a video capturing the confrontation between the groom and the vendor.

According to the post, the man and his former fiancée had earlier made a payment of ₦300,000 for a wedding-related service.

However, after calling off the wedding, the groom visited the vendor’s store to request a refund. The vendor, however, stood her ground, citing a strict “no refund” policy.

In the video, the groom could be heard saying:

“It has not been rendered. Have we taken any items from your store? Am I supposed to just give you over ₦300,000 without any service?”

The post sparked widespread reactions, with many users taking to the comment section to express their opinions on the vendor’s refusal and the groom’s actions.
