Al-Nassr captain, Cristiano Ronaldo, has confessed he was close to joining Arsenal in the past.
Ronaldo said he likes the Gunners, adding that he didn’t see the Premier League North London club as a rival during his time at Manchester United.
The Portugal forward stated this during a recent interview with Piers Morgan Uncensored.
“It is a true story. I was close to joining Arsenal many years ago… but it is the past,” Ronaldo said.
“Honestly, when I look at Arsenal, I am always looking at them not like a rival. I like the team, I like them.”
Ronaldo, who currently plays for Al-Nassr, has played for clubs like Sporting CP, Juventus, Real Madrid and Manchester United in the past.
